"Wood fellas Woodshop" 

The home of the East Street Boys:

Opening Soon! Pontypridd Men`s Shed has recently acquired the keys to our new woodshop in East Street Trallwyn. Our brave intrepid bunch of wood fellas led by local shedder Gareth Pugh have been spending most of their days working on the project since August.

The lads have been busy Creating much needed infrastructure required to develop the new facility which used to be a bakery, a garage and a print shop in recent years, before it`s latest incarnation.

The lads have been busy creating  workbenches and storage, installing machinery & over seeing collection of much needed donations made by the general public of equipment, materials & tools etc.

Andy Phillips Chair of Pontypridd Men`s shed Stated;

"We are actively working towards our goal of opening the facility to Members of our Men`s Shed & the local community. Hopefully by either late September or early October 2024.

The creation of such a workshop is key to the very ethos which makes up the Men`s Shed movement".

Prevention based upon good mental health practice & wellbeing for men that involves a health through stealth approach to improving the quality & lives of local men.

Offering shedders the opportunity to participate within both practical & social Activities. In the form of Community involvement Projects, Carpentry projects, commissions, Crafts, Gardening, Metal Work, Recycling, Repairs, Restoration, Upcycling, Volunteering, Whittling, Wood Turning, Woodworking & mathmatics etc…
